Part‑Time Mother’s Helper needed in Upper Manhattan, NY

Schedule: Monday–Friday,  Live‑out, approximately 1/2pm–7/8pm, occasional more hours

Compensation: $35/hour plus benefits

Position Overview

A family on the Upper East Side is seeking a warm, energetic Mother’s Helper to support mom and other full-time nannies with the afternoon and early‑evening routines for preschool‑aged children. The ideal candidate is active, playful, responsible, and able to serve as a positive role model while assisting with light household support.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage children in age‑appropriate play, activities, and outings

• Support afternoon routines: snacks, playtime, bath prep, and evening wind‑down

• Assist with school pickups, playdates, and transitions between activities

• Help maintain tidy play areas, children’s rooms, and common spaces

• Light household support such as loading dishwasher, organizing toys, or folding children’s laundry

• Communicate clearly with parents and follow established routines

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool‑aged children

• Energetic, active, and comfortable engaging in play and movement

• Positive, patient, and able to model good behavior

• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable in a structured family environment

• Strong communication skills

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working for UHNW or high-profile household as a Lead Housekeeper

• Strong, verifiable long-term references

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Willing to undergo an extensive background check
