Position Overview

A private ultra-high-net-worth family with multiple Long Island residences is seeking an experienced, discreet Family / Household Manager to oversee the primary Locust Valley estate and support coordination across additional properties. This senior-level role requires a polished professional with exceptional judgment, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of complex household operations.

The Manager will serve as the central point of oversight for staffing, logistics, systems, and overall estate functionality—ensuring a smooth, efficient, and service-focused environment at all times.


Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of the Locust Valley residence, maintaining a highly organized and well-run household

• Lead and support household staff, including scheduling, performance expectations, and communication

• Act as the primary contact for vendors, contractors, and service providers; oversee maintenance, repairs, and capital projects

• Create and maintain household systems, manuals, inventories, calendars, and operational procedures

• Coordinate all family logistics, including schedules, appointments, travel preparation, and special projects

• Plan and manage private events, holidays, and seasonal décor, including installation, breakdown, and storage

• Monitor household expenses, manage invoices, and collaborate with financial and advisory teams

• Oversee storage systems, seasonal items, and long-term organizational needs

• Anticipate household and family requirements, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, privacy, and overall flow


Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in household, estate, or family management, or senior-level PA/EA roles within UHNW settings

• Proven experience managing staff, vendors, and multi-property operations

• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Highest level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism

• Strong technical proficiency with digital systems, shared calendars, organizational platforms, and basic smart-home troubleshooting

• Calm, adaptable, and polished presence suited to a dynamic private household

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; local candidates strongly preferred

• Flexibility for extended hours, weekends, holidays, and seasonal demands
