Travel Nanny/Family Assistant needed in Downtown Manhattan, NY

Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, working 8-12 hours a day, requiring full flexibility to work holidays and travel extensively.

Compensation:

• $45/hour on weekdays

• $55/hour on weekends

• $150 per overnight stay

• Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match

• Monthly MetroCard

• Travel and overnight bonuses

• Guaranteed 40 hours when family is away


A warm and welcoming family in SoHo is seeking a full-time, live-out Travel Nanny/Family Assistant to join their team and care for three elementary school children. This role requires flexibility, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for child development. The family travels frequently—both domestically and internationally—and the nanny must be comfortable joining them for up to two weeks at a time. Key Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing care and companionship to the children

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in children’s areas

• Handle child-related housekeeping: laundry, ironing, closet organization, room and bathroom upkeep

• Assist with light kitchen cleaning

• Participate in travel rotations during school breaks

• Take on heavier housekeeping duties while traveling


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time experience as a nanny in Manhattan

  • With verifiable and excellent recommendations from long-term employers

  • Local to NYC or lives nearby

  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)

  • US or EU Passport for European travel

  • Non-smoker

  • Confident swimmer and comfortable riding a bicycle

  • Must be comfortable with dogs (family has a small pet)

  • Comfortable undergoing an extensive background check
