Seasoned Nanny/Family Assistant needed in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Compensation & Benefits

•          $35–$40 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, two weeks paid vacation, Paid sick days, Discretionary annual raise, and year-end bonus

•          Health insurance stipend, to be discussed

 

Schedule: Live-out, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

•          Very occasional evening or weekend coverage as needed

•          Potential for future domestic travel

Start Date: Late September/Early October


A wonderful family in Greenpoint, Brooklyn is seeking a seasoned, full-time nanny/family assistant to provide loving care for their newborn baby and thoughtful support to a vibrant mother managing medical challenges. This is a long-term opportunity for someone deeply committed to caregiving and household partnership.

 

This position is ideal for someone nurturing, compassionate, upbeat, and highly organized. You’ll be a trusted partner and right hand to the mom, helping with newborn care, manage daily routines, and light household tasks. The role requires strong emotional intelligence, discretion, and a proactive spirit.

 

Responsibilities

•          Provide attentive care for a newborn (extensive infant experience required)

•          Assist mom with calendar management, scheduling, and household oversight

•          Run errands including dry cleaning, groceries, and online orders

•          Handle all child-related tasks: laundry, organizing, tidying areas of the baby

•          Light pet care (one cat – minimal responsibilities)

•          Prepare light meals for mom (a huge plus, not required)

 

Qualifications

•          Minimum 10 years recent experience with newborns

•          Excellent references from previous families

•          Warm, sunny disposition with a nurturing and proactive approach

•          Comfortable working in a home with a parent present

•          NCS and/or HHA certification highly preferred

•          Must be pet-friendly

•          Local to NYC or with reasonable commute

•          Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)

•          Comfortable going through an extensive background check
