Compensation & Benefits:

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 45–55 hrs. per week, Flexibility is required plus occasional date nights and weekend coverage
Domestic and international travel with the family 1–2 weeks/year
Summer: Monday–Friday, 12:00pm–8:30pm
A wonderful family of four is seeking a highly energetic, educated, family-oriented, and nurturing nanny to join their household in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. The ideal candidate will work alongside a hands-on, stay-at-home mom to provide attentive care to a toddler and an infant, supporting a harmonious and loving environment.
The family is seeking a warm, experienced, and developmentally attuned Nanny with knowledge of Early Childhood Development and Montessori philosophy to provide nurturing, structured, and enriching care for young children in a private household. The ideal candidate is deeply knowledgeable about child development, passionate about fostering independence, and skilled in creating a calm, respectful environment that supports learning through play and exploration. Someone who brings flexibility, emotional warmth, and a team spirit. While the position is primarily focused on childcare, light housekeeping related to the children is appreciated when time permits.

Responsibilities Include:
Design and implement age-appropriate activities rooted in Montessori principles
Foster independence, self-regulation, and confidence through hands-on learning
Observe and document developmental milestones and adjust activities accordingly
Create a safe, organized, and engaging environment that encourages curiosity
Support emotional development through gentle guidance and respectful communication
Prepare nutritious meals and snacks aligned with children's dietary needs
Assist with daily routines including hygiene, dressing, and transitions
Maintain children's spaces, toys, and materials in a clean and orderly manner
Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress, routines, and observations
Collaborate with parents to align caregiving with family values and developmental goals
Light housekeeping (e.g., vacuuming, trash removal, dishwasher duty) when possible
Occasional help with family errands or organizational tasks
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of full-time experience as a nanny with small children
With verifiable and excellent recommendations
Must be eligible to work in the US and can travel internationally
Local to NJ or Manhattan with reasonable commute
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written), a second language is a plus
