Housekeeper needed in Upper Manhattan, NY

Compensation: $35-40 per hour on payroll, overtime eligible after 40 hours/week, plus full medical benefits, and 401K, etc.

Schedule: 5 days a week, approx. 9am to 8pm, stay over as needed (paid extra), includes weekends and some holidays, plus occasional travels

Family with school age children and an infant in a formal and fully staffed home is in search of a capable, flexible, highly energetic and easy-going Housekeeper to join their staff in providing full coverage service in caring for their fine home and assisting with children if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the cleaning and maintaining the general appearance of the residence in absence of primary housekeeper.

• Organize and manage of household inventory, care of antiques, fine arts, and decorative items

• Care of fine garments, dry-cleaning, laundry, hand washing, stain removal, ironing, and sewing as needed

• Clean, organize and tidy closets and cabinets

• Assist with cooking and food preparation for the family

• Set up dinner table and provide service as needed

• Pack and unpack family luggage prior their trips and upon their return

• Running Errands as needed

Requirements:

• Must have at least 5 years of long-term experience working as a housekeeper in formal fully staffed homes

• Must be local to NYC and eligible to work in the US

• Team player, and comfortable taking directions and instructions

• Good English communication skills, both verbal and written

• Enjoys cooking and able to prepare simple meals for the whole family, as needed

• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
