Compensation & Benefits

  • $35–$40 per hour, on payroll, MetroCard provided, two weeks of paid time off, No health benefits at this time


Schedule

  • Monday–Friday

  • Ideal hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 2–3 days per week may end at 4:00 PM

  • 40 hours per week guaranteed, even during lighter periods


A family on the Upper Manhattan who is seeking a dedicated Full‑Time Housekeeper / Nanny to join their household. This role is ideal for a warm, organized professional who genuinely enjoys working in a home with children and collaborates well with other household staff.

The family has two young daughters, ages 5 and 3. A full‑time nanny is currently employed and will be transitioning to part‑time afternoon coverage. The Housekeeper/Nanny will provide morning childcare support while maintaining high household standards throughout the day.


Responsibilities

Childcare Support (Morning Focus):

  • Assisting with the morning routine and helping the children get ready for the day

  • Occasionally assisting mom with school drop‑off for the younger child (Father handles drop‑off for the older child)

Housekeeping Duties:

  • Detailed cleaning and household upkeep

  • Laundry and ironing

  • Closet and household organization

  • Dusting and general tidying throughout the apartment

Additional Support:

  • Light meal preparation 1–2 times per week

    • Simple, healthy meals (not a chef role; meals should be easy to reheat)

  • Assisting with packing and unpacking when the family travels


Household Details

  • Grandmother resides in the home; candidate must work comfortably with extended family

  • No pets

  • No travel required

  • Apartment will undergo a full renovation during the summer

    • Summer responsibilities will be lighter and primarily involve checking in on the property

    • Full schedule resumes in September

    • 40 hours per week remain guaranteed year‑round

Requirements:

•          Minimum of 5 years’ experience in luxury homes

•          Stellar references from prior long-term employment

•          Authorized to work in the U.S.

•          Comfortable going through an extensive background check
