Hourly: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour; plus OT, $120 per each overnight stay, Health Insurance, 401K, etc.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 50 - 55 hours a week. The position requires heavy flexibility for overtime hours, eventual weekend & overnight stay as needed.
The duties include but are not limited to:
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the daily cleaning and maintaining the general appearance of the residence.
Leadership Duties
Act as a liaison between the family and the Estate Manager
Lead and supervise housekeeper(s). Create a team environment.
Maintain and update staff schedule
Review staff time sheet for accuracy, and submit them to the Estate Manager for final approval, along with eventual reimbursement receipts
Review staff requested vacation / PSL days with the family and approve in Workday
Keep track of housekeeper / achievements / behavior, provide feedback to the family as needed
Schedule houseman related items / appliance repairs
Prepare Household / Pantry / Family personal items parts list, order/replenish as needed
Security/Safety responsibilities:
Be familiar with security, safety, and emergency procedures
Oversee vendors performing work at the apartment
Hands-on Housekeeping duties, in absence of other staff
• Maintain overall cleanliness: vacuuming, dusting, mopping, polishing, sanitizing
• Perform museum-quality care of surfaces, furnishings, and decorative items
• Manage waste disposal and recycling
• Deep clean and organize kitchen, including appliances and storage areas
• Wash, dry, and store all dishware and cookware
• Care for fine garments: laundry, ironing, stain removal, seasonal wardrobe rotation
• Organize closets, cabinets, and personal spaces for accessibility and neatness
• Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas to high standards
• Make beds and change linens per schedule
• Care for children’s rooms and toys
• Provide light childcare support as requested
• Prepare light meals, snacks, and beverages
• Set and serve dinner table when needed
• Greet and assist guests, visitors, and contractors
• Handle mail, deliveries, and special requests
• Pack/unpack family luggage for travel
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Extensive experience in similar roles within high-end, fully staffed homes
• Strong references demonstrating reliability and longevity in previous positions
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Comfortable assisting with light house management tasks
• Able to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
