Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Director of Residences / Property Manager to oversee multiple private estates within the Tri‑State area. This is a senior‑level leadership role requiring a highly experienced professional with a proven background managing complex properties, large‑scale projects, and fully staffed households. Candidates must already reside in the Tri‑State area to be considered.
The ideal candidate is polished, strategic, and hands‑on—someone who can operate at a high executive level while also being willing to roll up their sleeves when needed. This role requires impeccable judgment, strong leadership, and the ability to maintain seamless operations across multiple residences.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the management and daily operations of several private estates
• Lead, support, and mentor household staff across multiple properties
• Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers with a hands‑on, proactive approach
• Coordinate and supervise large‑scale maintenance, renovation, and improvement projects
• Ensure all properties are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality
• Develop and implement household systems, procedures, and operational efficiencies
• Maintain strong communication with principals and staff, ensuring smooth, consistent operations
• Uphold the highest level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality
Requirement:
• 10+ years of experience managing multiple estates and fully staffed private homes
• Demonstrated longevity and stability in previous roles
• Proven track record of hands‑on vendor and project management
• Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset
• Highly organized, proactive, and solutions‑driven
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to balance high‑level oversight with hands‑on involvement
• Verbal references required prior to interview
