Schedule: Live-out Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, no sleep over, no travel required.
Compensation: $35–$50/hour (higher possible for the right candidate), plus OT, full benefits, and 401(k)
Location: Downtown Manhattan, NY (Two Properties)
Position Overview
A family of five with preteen children, no care required, is seeking a sole‑charge Executive Housekeeper to manage and maintain two Downtown Manhattan properties: a 5‑story townhouse (primary residence) and a one‑floor apartment used as an office (cleaned a few hours twice weekly). The Executive Housekeeper is the only housekeeping personnel responsible for all daily housekeeping, organization, laundry, and home management tasks.
Key Responsibilities
• Full‑charge housekeeping for a 5‑story townhouse and one floor apartment
• Clean and maintain the office apartment twice weekly
• Laundry, ironing, and care of fine garments and linens
• Daily cleaning, deep cleaning, and organizational upkeep
• Maintain closets, pantries, and all storage systems
• Manage household inventory and supplies; coordinate vendors as needed
• Occasional simple meal prep
• Run errands and handle deliveries
• Maintain standards even when the family is traveling
• Communicate effectively with the family assistant and principals.
Qualifications
• Prior experience as a sole full-charge Executive Housekeeper in a private home
• Strong organizational and home‑management skills
• Excellent laundry and ironing abilities
• Ability to work independently and maintain high standards across two properties
• Professional, discreet, reliable, and detail‑oriented
• Comfortable in a busy family environment with preteen children
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience working in a high-end home
• Strong, verifiable long-term references
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willing to undergo an extensive background check
