Part-Time Private Chef needed in the Upper Manhattan, NY

Title/Position: Part-Time Private Chef

Compensation: $500-$600 per day, depending on experience and qualifications

Schedule: 2-3 days a week. Flexibility in scheduling; willingness to work long hours and overtime as needed

Location: Upper Manhattan NY, with travel to family’s other properties within the US


Health and hygienically conscious Private Chef, poised and professional in both mindset and manner is needed to manage all daily culinary needs for a household of five. Cooking and preparing the meals to be served and/or delivered. Managing food production for family gatherings/events, kitchen cleaning, stocking, maintenance, etc.. The Chef will shop, prepare, cook, and/or leave ready meals with an emphasis on healthy dishes that taste good, creating on a weekly basis various dishes/menus according to instructions. Incorporating fresh and healthy ingredients into meals, adhere to preferences and dietary restrictions of the family members. Handling all aspects of grocery shopping and supply procurement; managing the grocery inventory. Upholding the highest sanitary and cleanliness standard for the kitchen. Exceptional organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.


Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience working for a Private Family

• Strong command of English language; outstanding writing and verbal skills

• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers

• Degree from accredited Culinary Arts school

• Computer savvy with proficiency in both Mac and PC systems, including Office, Internet, and email

• Valid Driver’s License; confident driver with clean record

• Must be local to NYC and eligible to work in the US
