Part-Time Housekeeper needed in Uptown Manhattan, NY
Compensation: $40-$45/hour on payroll + PTO
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 21 - 24 hours a week • 8 AM–3/4 PM, occasional late nights and weekends when entertaining
Position Overview
A warm, long‑term household on the Upper East Side is seeking an exceptional, highly organized Housekeeper to maintain a 4,500 sq ft apartment to a very high standard. The ideal candidate is detail‑driven, reliable, excellent with laundry and deep cleaning, and comfortable helping in a busy family home with two preteen children and one in boarding school who comes home when off from school.
A maid’s room is available for candidates who need accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
Daily cleaning, tidying, and maintaining a pristine home
Expert laundry care, including fine linens, delicate fabrics, and wardrobe organization
Scheduled deep cleaning of the entire apartment especially bathrooms, kitchen, and high‑touch areas
Kitchen help: light support, organization, and maintaining cleanliness
Household organization: closets, storage, children’s areas, and common spaces
Accepting deliveries and managing packages
Occasional late nights or weekend support as needed
Minimal pet care for a medium‑sized dog (must be child‑friendly and dog‑friendly)
Assist with children when needed (not a nanny role)
Ideal Candidate
Highly organized, proactive, and takes pride in their work
Exceptional laundry and ironing skills
Experienced in large, luxury homes
Comfortable around children and dogs
Warm, easy going, reliable, discreet, and professional
Able to work independently and maintain high standards
Long‑term mindset; stable work history preferred
Requirements:
Must have at least 5 years of full-time, housekeeping experience working in a high-end luxury home
Stellar references from prior employment
With valid authorization to work in the U.S.
Must be comfortable going through a comprehensive background check
