Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm, with flexibility for late nights. No travel and No overnights required.
Compensation:
Rate: $30-35 per hour before taxes, plus OT
Benefits package, including health insurance stipend (after 30 days) and paid time off.
Position Overview: Wonderful working parents in Brooklyn, NY are seeking a loving and nurturing nanny with extensive experience to care for their infant. This role involves all responsibilities related to the care and well-being of the child, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and loving care for the infant, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
Support the family's parenting style and philosophies, maintaining consistency in care and routines.
Monitor and maintain the baby's nutrition, including preparing and feeding bottles, solids, and age-appropriate meals.
Establish and follow a consistent sleeping and eating schedule, adapting as needed for the child's growth and development.
Track and document the baby's milestones, daily activities, and any health or developmental concerns.
Encourage cognitive, physical, and emotional development through age-appropriate activities, including play, reading, and interactive exercises.
Perform light housekeeping duties related to the child's care, such as cleaning and sterilizing bottles, maintaining a clean and organized play area and doing laundry for the family when needed.
Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by regularly sanitizing toys, furniture, and other items the baby comes into contact with.
Communicate openly and effectively with the parents about the child's progress, activities, and any concerns that arise.
Administer basic first aid and medication as needed, following family guidelines and medical advice.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of professional childcare experience, specifically with infants.
Excellent references from previous employers or families.
Willingness to undergo an extensive background check
Non-smoker, up to date with vaccinations (TDAP, Flu, Covid) and CPR and First Aid certified.
Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to the long-term care of the child.
Warm, nurturing, and patient demeanor with a genuine love for children.
Ability to handle the physical demands of caring for an infant, including lifting, and carrying.
Flexible with the family's schedule and able to adapt to changes as needed.
