Compensation: $35-40 per hour plus full benefits
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12pm -8pm (ideally), with overtime and after-hours support expected, including weekends and holidays. Occasional travel to other property
The individual will provide high-level support in managing, coordinating, and facilitating a smooth operation of two main households. This position requires special knowledge, understanding and experience in assisting a dynamic family with everyday household(s) tasks. Candidate must be easy going, organized, independent, able to communicate clearly, follow directions and take initiative when appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Top quality cleaning; proficiency in maintaining high quality furniture and associated materials; comfort with protocols for maintaining, rare, musical instrument
Maintaining tidy and orderly storage areas (closets, cupboards, shelves, etc.)
Laundry, including washing, and ironing clothes and sheets
Creating and maintaining inventories for pantry, fridge, freezer, cleaning supplies of all types, maintenance supplies of all types, linen of all types, etc.
Management of wardrobes, including delicates washing and dry cleaning
Packing and unpacking for travel, especially to and from second home
Deep cleaning of kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, play areas, including light fixtures, windows, trim and sill surfaces, shelves, drawers, including organizing assistants to take up rugs, move furniture, etc., all on a schedule to be agreed
Food shopping and meal prep
Enjoy playing and interacting with young children; can help-out with child related tasks such as pickups, activities, appointments
Monitor allergies and prescriptions
Weekly family calendar planning week to week, provide reminders for key dates
Oversight of general maintenance of the residence(s), point out necessary repairs/purchases
Sort and handle mail, separating junk
Manage petty cash, household budgets, keep record of expenses
Help with Family travel logistics and special events
Requirements:
• 5+ years long-term experience in a formal, fully staffed home
• Keen aesthetic sense and familiarity with museum quality furnishings (and the care of them).
• Must be local, drive and with a reliable car to get to work.
• Great communication skills with excellent competency in English, both written and spoken.
• Must be a team player, highly energetic and can keep up in a fast paced environment
