Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays • ~10 hours/day • 20 hours/week guaranteed  

Location: Downtown NYC Children: Toddler + newborn on the way

Travel: Summer weekends in Westchester + occasional overnights


Position Overview

A returning Hudson Staffing client in Downtown NYC is seeking an experienced, warm, and energetic Weekend Nanny to support their growing family. This role focuses on caring for a toddler and a newborn (with a Newborn Care Specialist present during the early months). The family is hands‑on and values teamwork, reliability, and a positive, engaging presence.

This is a long‑term weekend role with guaranteed hours and additional overnight flexibility needed during summer travel and parental trips.


Schedule & Expectations

  • Saturdays & Sundays, approximately 10 hours/day

  • 20 guaranteed hours/week

  • Flexible weekend shifts:

    • 10 AM–6/7 PM or 8 AM–5/6 PM

  • Overnight flexibility required during summer travel to Westchester and when parents travel

  • Long‑term commitment strongly preferred


Responsibilities

  • Care for a toddler and newborn (NCS present initially)

  • Engage children with fun, active, developmentally appropriate activities

  • Support daily routines, meals, naps, and bedtime

  • Work collaboratively with a very hands‑on mom and a team of nannies

  • Provide light household support:

    • Tidying

    • Errands

    • Shopping

    • Organizing laundry

    • Making beds

  • Maintain a safe, warm, and structured environment

  • Be comfortable around the family dog (no pet care required)


Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 5 years of professional childcare experience

  • NYC‑based with weekend nanny experience preferred

  • Experienced with toddlers, babies, and multiples

  • Fun, active, engaging, and organized

  • Flexible, reliable, and committed to long‑term employment

  • A true team player who works well alongside Mom and Dad

  • Comfortable caring for both children as the role progresses
