Compensation: $110K to 120K per year, PTO, 401K etc.
Schedule: 5-days, 50 - 60 hours a week; Occasional Overnight, weekends and holidays
Accommodations: Private bedroom and bathroom available to stay overnight.
A New York–based private family is seeking a hard‑working, responsible, and trustworthy Houseman/Companion with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an UHNW household. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, discreet, and compassionate, with the ability to provide personal support while maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑run home.
The position centers on providing attentive support and companionship to the Senior Mr. while ensuring the household is maintained to the highest standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Personal Care & Support
• Assist with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity.
• Maintain clean, organized personal spaces.
• Provide medication reminders or assistance as directed.
• Support with meal planning, preparation, and light cooking.
• Provide meal service and beverage preparation when required.
Household Operations
• Perform daily cleaning, organizing and washing.
• Ensure the house is always guest‑ready and properly maintained.
• Manage grocery and household supply purchasing and inventory.
• Maintain a consistent presence to ensure safety and offer assistance.
• Schedule and supervise vendors and repair personnel.
• Ensure electronics are fully functional and ready for use.
• Receive packages and maintain a delivery log.
• Answer and direct calls coming through the house phone.
• Occasionally drive the principals to appointments and errands.
• Greet family members and guests upon arrival.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Experience in a private home as a houseman, caretaker, or personal attendant.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physically capable of being on foot for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive confidently.
• Hard‑working, and willing to go the extra mile.
• Hands‑on, proactive, and able to take initiative.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Flexible and able to adapt to shifting schedules and priorities.
• Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of confidential family matters.
• Reliable team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting a high‑profile or UHNW employer
• Excellent long‑term references
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check
