Compensation: $600 - $650 per day
Schedule: Live-in, Friday to Sunday/Monday with travel to the Hamptons over the summer, plus domestic and international travels.
A lovely family in Downtown Manhattan, NY is looking for an experienced, education focused, active and fun-loving nanny to take care of a toddler. Someone who is willing to grow with the family, reliable, stimulating and engaging, proactive and genuinely loves children. The family has a small dog where no care is required, but must be pet friendly.
Duties • Providing developmentally and age-appropriate educational games and activities such as arts and crafts, reading books, teaching letters, numbers, and colors, etc. • Teaching manners and other socially appropriate behavior • Assisting with language acquisition and development • Organizing child's age-appropriate activities and excursions such as parks and playgrounds, library, museums, etc. • Organizing and providing developmentally and age-appropriate motor-skills activities, indoors and outdoors • Making sure all child’s areas are safe and belongings are organized and clean (bedroom, play area, diaper bag, stroller, toy cubbies, etc.) • Caring for all child related laundry and meals.
REQUIREMENTS: • Must have at least 10 years’ experience in a similar role and setting • Must have long term, stellar and verifiable references • Common sense (the most underrated virtue!) • Must speak fluent English and Spanish (spoken in the home) • Must drive and with clean record
• Must be a good swimmer • Must be experienced of all the milestones in a child's life, with knowledge of Early Childhood Development • Must be a team player and able to work with other staff
