Salary: $1500-1600 per week depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits (2 weeks paid vacation, paid sick days and major holidays with pay plus health insurance contribution of $250-300 per month)
Schedule: Live-in Monday 7am to Friday 7pm, with occasional travel to Long Island, NY in the Summer. Open to local, live-out candidates as long as they can stay late and sleep over when needed.
A nice family in New Canaan in looking for a warm, engaging, fun loving and developmentally savvy live-in nanny to help very hands-on busy working parents in caring for their adorable toddler, and occasionally supervising two older school aged children. Ideal nanny is someone easy going and always ready to lend a helping hand. Someone who has a sunny and positive disposition and who genuinely loves children. They also have a pool and the baby will start swimming lessons. Family lives near the train station and around main street and where everything is accessible and within walking distance. Someone who swims and drives is a huge plus OR willing to learn for long term need. Car will be provided for work related use.
Duties are all children related: General childcare duties, primarily taking care of the 18 month child and taking the baby to classes and activities, organizing educational and stimulating activities for the child and all children related tasks like tidying up their rooms and toys, making sure the kitchen and all areas of the children are neat and safe, light cooking and light laundry, plus minimal pet care (feed and give water).
REQUIREMENTS: • have at least 5 years' long-term experience working in a similar role and setting • have stellar and verifiable references • be COVID vaccinated and boosted • be CPR and First Aid Certified • be dog friendly
