Position Overview
A single principal in Downtown Manhattan is seeking a full-time House Manager/Housekeeper to support the daily operations and upkeep of a well-maintained residence. The ideal candidate is polished, reliable, and proactive, with the ability to manage both hands-on housekeeping and light household management tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform full housekeeping duties, including deep cleaning, daily maintenance, and overall household cleanliness
• Manage laundry, ironing, and care of fine garments and linens
• Organize closets, cabinets, pantry, and household storage systems
• Oversee light house management tasks, including vendor coordination and scheduling household repairs
• Run errands as needed (shopping, returns, deliveries)
• Maintain household supplies and inventory
• Ensure the home remains guest-ready and operates smoothly at all times
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Executive Housekeeper or House Manager in a private home
• Excellent, verifiable references
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and anticipate household needs
• Professional, discreet, and trustworthy demeanor
• Interest in a long-term, permanent position following the initial temp period
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Willing to undergo a comprehensive background check
