Compensation: 120-140K salary a year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus full medical benefits, 401K
Schedule: Five days, minimum of 40-50 hours work week, weekends, and holidays available as needed. Should be flexible based on the needs of the home and family.
The Executive Head Housekeeper is key to maintaining the smooth operations of this vast estate and the team
that is employed there, as well as instrumental to supporting an active immediate and extended UHNW family. We
are seeking a service-oriented, can-do individual who brings focus and order to this role and operates in a
thorough and dedicated fashion. The role will also provide occasional support to NYC apartments as well, as
needed, and work collaboratively with the overall Estate Manager, who oversees multiple properties within this
family's portfolio.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a team on site at this Estate that provides hands-on service, maintenance, and housekeeping, and also plays a hands-on role whenever necessary
Handle administrative and personnel tasks as well as negotiating and procuring items for the home, with an eye towards getting the best deal possible when making purchases of all sizes
Promote a safe, secure, and healthy workplace.
Delivers high level of service to the family and their guests
Maintains a professional and respectful work relationship with the team
Participate in a workplace culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position requires flexibility in scheduling to meet the changing demands of the family
Broad knowledge and experience in 1) observation and attention to principals, anticipating needs 2) meal service and dining room etiquette 3) household maintenance
Knowledge and understanding in cleaning of delicate antiques and special surfaces
Excellent communication skills and time management
Assist housekeepers as needed with general housekeeping and heavy-duty special projects
Works closely with chef for kitchen operations
Drives family or staff, runs errands in a safe and secure manor
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities
General knowledge of kitchen equipment and household appliance operations
Experience with wine varietals and wine service
From time to time be able to stay overnight as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a High School degree or equivalent
Minimum of at least 5 years of experience in a private formal home or high-end yacht and luxury hotel services
Certifications and or training in household service/hospitality
Current & clean driver’s license
