Temporary Housekeeper needed in Watermill, NY

Compensation: $40 per hour + overtime (on payroll)

Schedule: Full-time, live-in or live-out, Wednesday to Sunday, 50-60 hours a week

Travel: Summer in the Hamptons Occasional domestic and international travel.

Position Overview

An UHNW New York family seeks an experienced Housekeeper to care for a busy high end home and provide occasional childcare support during the main nanny’s days off. This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work within a fully staffed home.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and upkeep of all household areas

• Laundry, ironing, and care of fine garments

• Proper use of cleaning products on delicate and high‑value surfaces

• Organization of closets, cabinets, and storage spaces

• Light meal preparation as needed

• Maintain overall household cleanliness, order, and presentation

• Assist with children’s routines, meals, and bedtime when the primary nanny is off

• Communicate clearly with parents and follow established guidelines

Ideal Candidate

• Strong knowledge of cleaning products, fine furnishings, and garment care

• Ability to prepare simple meals

• Strong English communication skills

• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills

• Ability to maintain a professional, discreet work environment

• Ability to follow all household protocols, safety procedures, and emergency guidelines

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in high-end household

• Strong, verifiable long-term references

• Valid authorization to work in the U.S.

• Willing to undergo a comprehensive background check
