Compensation: $35-40 per hour, plus OT after 40 hours, and $120 overnight rate, plus full medical benefits, 401K etc.
Schedule: Live-in, 5 days and 5 nights, will include weekends and some holidays. Flexibility in scheduling to meet the changing demands of the family.
We are seeking an experienced live-in Houseman/Facility Specialist to provide superior service to very active UHNW family based between Upper Manhattan and Nassau County, NY located on a sizeable estate.
Ideal candidate is a skilled, highly motivated, and detail-oriented professional responsible for the operational management and oversight of the Principal’s primary residences. Working closely with the Estate and Property Managers and collaborate with building managers in city buildings. This role demands excellent communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and committed to maintaining a polished and professional environment for the principal, family members, and guests. Someone with the ability to manage deadlines, set accountability and create a high-functioning, collaborative work environment.
The Houseman/Facility Specialist role is primarily focused on maintaining the residence's functionality, cleanliness, and organization. The ideal candidate should demonstrate flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a proactive commitment to the family’s needs. This role involves collaborating closely with the Estate/House Manager and adapting to changing priorities.
Must have familiarity with basic mechanical, electrical, water, and electronic systems, as well as a comprehensive understanding of residential service.
Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance:
Maintain the residence through cleaning, minor repairs, and promptly reporting maintenance issues.
Proactively identify and address potential maintenance problems.
Complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks as outlined in the Trello system.
Coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot technical issues (e.g., HVAC, BMS, AV systems).
Outdoor & Grounds:
Maintain estate grounds, including seasonal tasks like power washing, pool care, leaf blowing, and outdoor furniture setup.
Perform minor irrigation repairs and ensure the cleanliness of outdoor structures.
Handle seasonal responsibilities such as winterizing pool areas and mosquito treatments.
Technical Support:
Troubleshoot and assist with household systems, including security, HVAC, and AV systems.
Monitor and maintain the BMS system for efficiency and functionality.
Personal Service:
Assist with family errands, meal/beverage service, and pet care.
Provide support during events such as pool parties.
Drive family members to appointments and desired locations.
Inventory & Tools:
Manage and organize tools, garage equipment, and spare parts inventory.
Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and maintained.
Quality Assurance:
Supervise contractors and vendors during service visits.
Protect the family’s confidentiality and oversee security measures.
Handle mail, deliveries, and communication protocols efficiently.

Job Requirements:
Minimum of at least 10 years in a private formal home experience.
