Schedule: Monday–Friday, Live‑In | 7:00 AM start | 10‑hour day with a mid‑day break (12–3 PM)

Summer Travel: Hamptons, NY


About the Family

A warm, professional family in Upper Manhattan is seeking a long‑term Executive Housekeeper/Family Assistant to support their busy household. Both parents work full-time and have two teenage children. The family has a long history of retaining staff and is now consolidating responsibilities into one key role as the older child transitions to college. The family also employs a weekend staff.

The home is 5,000 sq. ft. across three levels. Live‑in accommodations for workdays include a private bedroom, bathroom, and a small kitchenette. The family also has a mini goldendoodle (hypoallergenic) who requires minimal care and has a daily dog walker.


Position Overview

The Executive Housekeeper/Family Assistant will oversee the smooth functioning of the household, maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization, and provide light family support. This role is ideal for someone who is tech‑savvy, proactive, and experienced in managing large homes. The family values a positive, pleasant presence and seeks someone who is child‑friendly, pet‑friendly, and committed to long‑term employment.


Key Responsibilities

•     Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of a 5,000 sq. ft., multi‑level residence

•     Manage daily housekeeping tasks, including laundry, wardrobe care, and household upkeep

•     Prepare simple, family‑style meals

•     Assist with family scheduling, errands, and ordering supplies online

•     Support the younger child with routine needs and provide a warm, reliable presence

•     Coordinate with existing household staff and adapt as roles consolidate

•     Provide minimal pet care for the family’s mini goldendoodle

•     Travel with the family to East Hampton during the summer (live‑in accommodations provided)


Qualifications

•     Extensive long‑term experience in private homes with excellent references

•     Strong housekeeping and organizational skills

•     Tech‑savvy and comfortable ordering supplies, managing deliveries, and handling basic household technology

•     Warm, positive, and pleasant demeanor

•     Child‑friendly and pet‑friendly

•     Ability to work independently and maintain high standards
