Overview

A warm, fully staffed household in Great Neck, NY is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organized House Manager/Family Assistant to act as the mother’s extension and oversee the smooth daily operation of the home. The household centers on the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of a young adult man with moderately functional autism, and the ideal candidate will integrate seamlessly into a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.


This role requires a hands‑on, initiative‑driven professional who can manage staff, support household operations, anticipate needs, and ensure the home runs efficiently at all times.


Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and support all household staff, including caregivers, housekeepers, and chef

• Act as the mother’s right hand, ensuring her priorities and expectations are carried out smoothly

• Manage daily household operations, schedules, and workflows

• Maintain household standards, organization, and overall functionality

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing events, dinners, and gatherings

• Provide hands‑on support wherever needed—no task too big or too small

• Coordinate vendors, maintenance, repairs, and service appointments

• Assist with errands, shopping, and household logistics

• Ensure seamless communication between staff, family members, and outside service providers

• Travel to additional family properties when needed (Hamptons, Miami)

• Drive as required for errands, appointments, and family needs

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role

• Fluent in English with strong communication skills

• Excellent, verifiable references

• Eligible to work in the U.S.

• Willing to undergo a comprehensive background check
