Position Overview

A family in Upper Manhattan is preparing to welcome their third child and is seeking an exceptional Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) to provide 24‑hour coverage beginning mid‑September. This is a fully staffed household with a team of nannies caring for the older children, allowing the NCS to focus exclusively on the newborn.

The ideal candidate is deeply experienced, calm, professional, and confident in all aspects of newborn care. The family values discretion, teamwork, and excellent communication. This role requires someone who can seamlessly integrate into a high‑functioning household and provide expert guidance and support during the newborn phase.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24‑hour newborn care during scheduled shifts

• Establish and maintain healthy sleep, feeding, and developmental routines

• Track feeding schedules, sleep patterns, and developmental milestones

• Prepare and sterilize bottles; manage breastmilk and formula

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for the newborn

• Support parents on newborn care best practices

• Communicate clearly with parents and collaborate with the nanny team

• Ensure smooth daily updates and continuity of care

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional Newborn Care Specialist experience

• Excellent, verifiable references
