Overview
A warm, fully staffed household in Great Neck, NY is seeking an experienced, proactive, and hands‑on Domestic Couple to support the smooth daily operation of a home centered on the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of a young adult man with moderately functional autism. The ideal couple is kind, adaptable, and able to integrate seamlessly into a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
This long‑term role combines House Management, Family Assistance, Housekeeping, and General Household Support, including assisting the chef, caregiver, and other staff as needed. Flexibility, professionalism, and a warm presence are essential.
Combined Responsibilities
• General housekeeping: cleaning, organizing, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining all living areas.
• Laundry and wardrobe care, including ironing and proper garment handling.
• Meal preparation and kitchen upkeep as needed.
• Household organization, inventory management, and receiving deliveries.
• Guest assistance and occasional event support.
• Running errands, coordinating with vendors, and overseeing service appointments.
• Light upkeep of outdoor areas: sweeping, clearing debris, watering plants, and maintaining small garden beds.
• Basic lawn and patio care, including cleaning, light pruning and tidying.
• Monitoring outdoor lighting and ensuring pathways remain clean and safe.
• Performing simple repairs such as tightening fixtures, patching small holes, replacing bulbs, and touching up paint.
• Reporting plumbing or electrical issues when appropriate.
• Maintaining tools and reporting larger issues promptly.
• Assisting with small household projects, furniture assembly, and general upkeep.
• Running errands, coordinating with vendors, and overseeing service appointments.
• Maintaining security awareness and ensuring the property remains orderly.
• Providing caretaking support during homeowner absences.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills
• Excellent, verifiable references
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Willing to undergo a comprehensive background check
